Day Without Information Technology...

For my Information Technology class I had an assignment to spend one day without using information technology (cell phone, computer, ipod, tv, all those fun things). At first I thought that it was going to be terribly hard to do. In the end what I ended up doing during the day was all the homework assignments that had been assigned during the week and reading some of the books in my collection.

Thankfully, I had a lot of homework assigned and due for Tuesday. Math, Writing, and Philosophy can generate more homework than I thought it could, especially considering it was for the first week of class that it was all assigned. Oh, well at least it was enough to keep me busy for most of the day.

I wanted to (and was assigned to) include the definitions for Technology and Information Technology.
Technology: (there a quite a few definitions so here we are)
1. the branch of knowledge that deals with the creation and use of technical means and their interrelation with life, society, and the environment, drawing upon such subjects as industrial arts, engineering, applied science, and pure science.
2. the terminology of an art, science, etc.; technical nomenclature.
3. a technological process, invention, method, or the like.
4. the sum of the ways in which social groups provide themselves with the material objects of their civilization.
Information Technology: the technology of the production, storage, and communication of information using computers and microelectronics.
Also: the development, implementation, and maintenance of computer hardware and software systems to organize and communicate information electronically.

Kay, gonna go do some more homework now.
